Mary is an ASHA Certified, Wisconsin and Illinois licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of clinical and supervisory experience. Mary has been employed as an MJ Care associate for over 20 years. During her tenure, she has developed and managed a therapy outpatient clinic, coordinated physical, occupational and speech therapy services in home-based, medical and school-based settings. She is currently the Vice President of School-Based Therapy Services and also serves as a Documentation Specialist for MJ Care's Medicaid School-based Services program that serves more than 175 school districts throughout Wisconsin and Iowa. She supervises speech-language pathologists during their Clinical Fellowship (CF) experience to meet their requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and provides “under the direction of” services for speech-language pathologists under the Wisconsin Medicaid School-Based Services rules. Mary establishes and develops partnerships through marketing and as a guest speaker with Wisconsin university training programs in preparing speech-language pathologists for their profession in a school setting. She is an active member of the Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association and is serving her second term as the Vice President of Governmental Affairs. She is also an active member of the Illinois Speech-Language Hearing Association (ISHA), National Alliance for Medicaid in the Schools (NAME), Wisconsin Council for Administrators of Special Services (WCASS) and the Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education (IAASE) as well as the American Telemedicine Association (ATA). Mary is a co-author and presenter of MJ Care’s School Therapy 101 & 201: A Primer for New & Returning School-Based Therapists and Beyond the Basics: Proven Strategies for a Student-focused Approach to OT & PT Assessment and Service Delivery within a Collaborative Team Model.
